-Place the Quick Release Mount 2’x4’ plywood board with the bike-vise installed into the pickup bed and place it in the location desired.

Note: Make sure clearance exists between the front of the bed and the top forward part of the bike-vise legs. IF additional space is required, or you wish to distribute the weight of the Quick-Release Mount “across” the pickup bed, you may place a 2”x4” board between the 2’x4’ plywood mounting board and the pickup bed front sidewall of the box.
-Determine the 2 Left Side Eyebolt locations (see Eyebolt Location 1 photo and Eyebolt Location 2 photo for placement of the eyebolts). Notice that the Eyebolt shaft does not touch the 2”x4”, only the “nut” touches the 2”x4”. Additionally, the “eyes” should fit snugly against the Plywood mount as shown in the photos.

-When satisfied with the location of the 2 Eyebolts, drill the 2 holes in the pickup bed and place the eyebolts into position.
-Caution: Make SURE you are NOT drilling through electrical or gas lines!!!
-Note: DO NOT put the Right Side eyebolts in position at this time. This is due to the “eye” of the eyebolt causing interference that will keep you from installing or removing the Quick Release Mount!
-With the Quick Release Platform in the location desired, slide the remaining 3rd piece of 30” 2”x4” next to the right underside 2”x4” platform support/leg (see photo “Locate Right Side Eyebolts”).

-Attach 1-Nut to the Eyebolt Shaft to determine the Front eyebolt hole position.
-Note: double-click the photo “Locate Right Side Eyebolts” and you will see that only the “nut”, NOT the eyebolt shaft, will contact the 2”x4” platform support/leg.

-Eyebolts MUST fit snugly against the wood platform to keep the Quick Release Mount from sliding fore/aft and forward/rearward in your pickup bed. However, this piece of lumber can be quickly removed/installed allowing the Quick Release Platform to be attached/removed from your pickup bed. This 3rd piece of 2”x4” is required because the “eye” protrudes OVER the support/leg and, if not used, would keep you from installing and removing the Quick Release Platform.
-Slide the 2”x4” fully into position and mark the Rear Eyebolt location. The Eyebolts should be snugly against the Plywood mount and the 2”x4” platform support/legs.
Note: You CAN use different size lumber to “move” the Eyebolt Positions to different locations. A 2”x2”, or a 2”x3” could be used to make the eyebolt location “move” to a “crown” or “Valley” in your pickup bed. The 2”x4” board in this photo was used for convenience only.

-When Eyebolt locations have been determined, remove the board and drill the remaining 2 Right Side Eyebolts in your pickup bed/trailer.
