Step #2:  Cut 3 pieces of 2”x4”-30” long

-Attach 2 of the 30” long pieces securely to the 2’x4’ plywood sides, as shown in photo #1, with 2” or 1-NDeck Screws.

Note: Make SURE that 3” protrudes beyond the plywood on each end as shown in photo #2.  The 3” protrusion will serve as a “blocking point” to hold the plywood in place on the pickup bed during transport. It will also serve as a “Bumper” to keep the 2’x4’ plywood away from the inside of the truck bed to provide adequate clearance for the bike-vise tire clamp operate.

Cut a 36” piece of 2”x8” (preferred) or 2”x6” board for the Drive-On Ramp.

- Attach this 36” piece to the underside of the plywood as shown in photo #3, using a minimum of 5 deck screws spaced evenly along the plywood deck.  This 2”x8” board also provides support to the plywood so it does not bend/warp under the weight of the front tire load.

Note: The “drive-on ramp” should be beveled 45º-60º at the loading end for easier front tire loading.

Install the Bike-Vise on the Plywood Board.
